Integrated Development Environment to build, test and maintain robots
Design Studio is a completely integrated development environment (IDE) for building and testing application integration processes, called robots. It includes a unique “one click deployment” feature which enables you to instantly create APIs or business process tasks and share them with anyone else in your organization through the Management Console.

- Browser View
With the Browser View, navigating data is as easy as navigating the web or working in an Excel document. Just point and click, whether working with Excel, XML- or HTML-based documents and applications, and your interactions with the data and transactions can be captured and automated. The Browser View shows the web application, FTP site, file system, XML document, or PDF/Excel file in three different windows: a normal web browser, a DOM tree representation, and the HTML/XML source. Use the browser view to navigate the source application and identify which data to extract, which forms to fill out or which actions to run.
- Robot View
The Robot View is where you see and design the step-by-step process flow, business rules and exception handling for the robot. With intuitive drag-and-drop visual programming, simply connect, drag or "lasso" steps directly with your mouse. Jump in real-time to any place in the execution just by clicking on a step, and instantly verify the result in the Data View.
- Configuration View
Use the Configuration View to perform detailed configuration of the individual actions/steps in the robot and define advanced business rules for extraction, transformation and exception.
- Data View
Shows the value of the data objects handled by the robot in real-time, including both input parameters and output objects. At any time in the process of designing or modifying a robot, verify instantly that the robot works as desired simply by clicking on the step or loop iteration you want to check and see the results in the Variables View.
- Projects View
Shows how robots and data definitions are organized in Project View. The Project View makes it easy to handle multiple projects and versions at various stages (development, test and deployment) at the same time.
Design Studio also includes a built-in debugger, which can execute the robot in a test environment and display the data in real-time as they are extracted or transformed. The debugger has support for advanced features such as breakpoints, step-wise execution, as well as a powerful "goto" feature which allows you to quickly jump to a specific place and state if an error occurs in order to quickly view and fix the problem.

- Debugger
Design Studio also includes a built-in Debugger, which executes the robot in a test environment and displays the results, for example as pictured, data extracted and transformed from an XML file. The Debugger's advanced features include breakpoints and step-wise execution, as well as a powerful "go-to" feature which allows you to jump to a specific error to quickly view and fix the problem.
